Kinky Friedman's Kill 2 Birds and Get Stoned. Very good book. Been around a while but I only just got around to reading it. An excellent departure from his usual detective novels starring himself. Having read so many of those it's hard at first to remember that he's not in it although the main character does have some of his traits.
Next up is Nic Helman's "Girls" - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1852428767

Work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work.
Bit too much of it this weekend. That's the trouble with uploading new sites, no matter how much you test them on your own server something always crops up on another one. How the hell does one mysql database connect to another one when you don't have any server details, username or password for the other database??? Answers on a postcard please.
Speaking of websites, has anyone ever noticed how dull Def Leppard's site has become? Nothing ever happens on it of interest. Can't say I visit much anymore.
Had said band on the MP3 player all day. All songs, all albums, b sides and oddities. Started at 10am this morning and still going strong!!

Nothing but rain for the best part of 3 days, with a brief and glorious spell of sun for half a day. Ah well, at least the football's back with a vengence tomorrow and so, subsequently, is Match Of The Day! Finally get football back where it should be, on the BBC and not the pretentious drivel that ITV were spewing out. Tips for this season? Can't see Man U winning much. Injury ravaged as they are at the moment. Arsenal? Depends on their commitment but then it's always the case that everyone wants to beat the champions so this season will be a lot harder for them. Chelsea? Another big spending spree and so a whole raft of new players to bed in. Liverpool? With or without Michael Owen there's a new enthusiasm coming from the club. So, my tip for the top - Liverpool. Had a depressive swing last night. Sometimes they come and ravage me, taking away my desire for life. Black moods, hate everyone, destroy the world, destroy myself. I don't want to live anymore. They can be quite scary. Sat, doing nothing, trying to work out why the world hates me so much. Never quite sure why I ever bother with anything.
