Captain Arthur Phillip Statue

Located in the Sydney Botanical Gardens and sculpted by Achille Simonetti in 1897. Arthur Phillip was the first governor of New South Wales and arrived with the First Fleet on 26th January 1788 in Sydney Cove, he is also then attributed as having been the founder of Sydney.
