2005, Round 18. St Kilda's rise towards the Top 4 continued with another big win (this time at the MCG) against Melbourne Demons, 27.14(176) to 13.10(88). Nick Riewoldt made his return from a long shoulder injury and the match started with Demons constantly shoulder barging Riewoldt to test his shoulder while the Saints scored a quick succession of five goals. The Saints were boosted with returns to the team by Aaron Hamill and Robert Harvey. The 88 point winning margin was the highest by the Saints against the Demons in AFL History.
