It's been a fun weekend. After all the week's arguements for and against the current state of football in England the Premiership players obviously took notice and played with a little more desire and with goals flowing, upsets occuring and some general odds and ends watching Match Of The Day on Saturday night was, for once, interesting. Friday and some of Saturday have meant working on the new and improved Def Leppard Bootleg Guide, my own little homage to one of my favourite bands. It needed a lot of work and a new look. Still a lot of work to go on it but working Friday night, listening to their music as I worked was a pleasurable experience. Sunday became even more fun. I have a new woman in my life and we met up for the first time on Sunday evening. That followed a few texts, a couple of phone calls and a two and a half hour train ride toward Rochdale. Trains in England are fascinating things. Like all trains there's some that run badly and most that run well. Fortunately I didn't have any issues, having had a spare half hour in Leeds to find some food, have a tiny little espresso and played on the escalators. A box of wine somehow managed to be consumed during the evening, which for me was worrying. Wine has had a habit of making me ill and I hadn't drunk much in the last couple of years. I managed to survive though, fortunately. Can't write too much about all the events of the evening since this is a polite blog not a sex blog! Needless to say it was fun, very enjoyable and I had around 4 hours sleep, coming back today feeling blurry eyed and hungry. Comment on this article
