Blog Hunting

Saturday. It's starting to get cold in England, Autumn's coming along nicely.

I've spent half the day reading blogs. There's some fun to be had just being nosey on the internet. Wandering around at random seeing what's out there. Most get passed over, not that they're boring, they just don't have something that doesn't catch my attention or the subject matter is something so common that it's hard to read. Coming across a lot of the Katrina blogs highlights this. There's millions of  opinions about the hurricane and how George Walker Bush has handled it, most opposed but there is the odd one that supports the poor man.

There's sports blogs, adult blogs (far too many), blogs written by people for their friends, promotions, sales, business, how to run a business. There's far too many blogs about how to write a successful blog as well. They all have the same ideas so if you find one then you've found them all.

Speaking of Katrina it was noticable that Michael Moore decided to stick his oar into the debate. In his now usual manner he has written an open letter to GWB. MM used to be a good bloke. He made some fun and humourous TV programs before taking the world by storm with Bowling For Columbine. That was an excellent movie. It showed America for what it is where guns are concerned. Regardless of your opinion it educated, interested and entertained. Then he took on the might of GWB. MM attacked him in every way possible from his election in 2000 to the war in Iraq, writing a few odd books and the risible Fahrenheit 9/11. This wasn't good journalism, writing or documentary making. It was a personal attack which just smacked of a typical "Hey Look At Me" mentality.

I used to like Michael Moore. Now I don't. He went too far and lost the plot.
