Won't you take me down to Melbourne on a midnight ride

Last day in Cairns. Good job too since it's been raining all afternoon and evening. The last day here has been spent online for most of the day. I managed a three hour stint earlier without even realising it.

At least Cairns has some good internet places. I've no idea how many different places I have used in Aus while I've been here. I have a habit of trying all the different ones a town/city has to offer and then sticking with a favourite if I'm somewhere for a while. Invariably the Global Gossip places are the best, except in Byron. Brisbane has places that push the games more and are particularly nice to be in. Airlie Beach was a little shocking. The PC's there were so old and me being me kept them crashing at alarmingly regular intervals. Quite why Windows 98 was still being used??

I have a favourite place in Melbourne though which the next entry in here will probably be written from. I'm looking forward to going back to Melb. It is by far my favourite Aussie city. The fact that my brother, sister-in-law and step-nephew plus all the rest of the family live there helps but then Melbourne is a great place anyway. I've landed there 4 times before from trips or on initial flights coming over and it feels more of a second home. Australia's most beautiful woman also lives there.

With a bit of luck work will take up at least the next month or two. Then I'll head off again to who-knows-where. This trip up the east coast has been fun. I've been through Sydney, The Blue Mountains, Newcastle, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays, Cairns and Cape Tribulation. Missing a few things along the way but that just gives me an excuse to come back one day.

I don't really want to get up at 4am for the flight but I have to. :)
