Buses

Now in Airlie Beach, Queensland. Left Brisbane on the Greyhound yesterday afternoon and arrived here this morning. It was quite a decent journey too. I wasn't looking forward to 17 hours on a bus but in the end the mix of music, reading, eating and sleeping went well and the time passed quickly enough.

I did however feel totally disorientated earlier. Arriving here I checked into the Koalas resort and then went off to check in for tomorrow's sailing trip. The time felt so much later than it actually was (around 10am) but after a coffee and shower I'm feeling a little more with it.

There's not a great deal to do in Airlie itself. It exists mostly as a launching point for a myriad of boat trips around the Whitsundays. The 'town' is pretty much one street with a load of hostels, hotels, bars, shops and travel places. I did have a brief wander round but will be having a longer one this afternoon. Finding something to eat also feels like a good idea right now.

I am also hoping to find somewhere with a USB port so I can upload the photos I took in Brisbane.
