Sunday morning. The skies have clouded over. Today's weather may not allow the usual daily walk/sit/read/write on the beach. The last two nights have been a blast though. Friday night was a staying in sort of affair. Sitting around outside drinking beer, talking a lot, smoking far too much, bongs going round, joints being rolled. All good fun and I had a really good night's sleep! Last night turned into the 1980s. The Northern (bar in Byron) was having an 80s night. The hostel's manager was having an 80s night birthday party. That meant trawling the second-hand, reject and charity shops for anything useful. To think people once such looks were fashionable. Still, as seems to happen in the fashion world, what goes around comes around. It's also amazing how easy it can be to get dressed up for under $10. Turned out to be a great night though. Byron usually has fun at weekends. People come down from Brisbane for a day or two, most of the town goes out Friday and/or Saturday. I've now got to get myself sorted to get out of here on Tuesday.
