Yesterday became a wasted day. Sadly the rain came, preventing anyone from doing anything. I spent the day reading, talking and generally not doing very much of anything. It was a stark contrast from the weekend. The sun had been out in all it's glory. I'd gone for a walk along the main beach here, heading west. Just wandering along the beach, heading nowhere in particular and enjoying the sights and sounds. It seems Byron has this habit of sucking people in. Sydney has the same effect. There are people here who only intended to come for a few days and have stayed for weeks now. It's no suprise though. The town has all that's required for a fun, enjoyable time. Byron's numerous beaches provide the surfer with waves, the sand provides a place for the non-surfer to relax. This place is relaxing. After all I got up to in Sydney it's good to just do nothing. My spending has dropped dramatically (a good thing!). I feel the urge to do very little, alhough I do have to take a walk east of the main beach sometime this week. There's also a really good crowd of people at the hostel. Comment on this article
