One day left in Sydney now. I'll be leaving on Wednesday and heading north to Newcastle. Everyone wonders why I want to go there. I have no particular answer other than I want to. I'm happy to be heading off again. It's only a three hour bus ride so at least this time I can do it during the day time and not have to attempt to sleep to pass the time. Sleeping on buses, trains and planes isn't an easy thing to do but I can manage it from time to time. There's a lot I'm going to miss about Sydney. I've met some fun people while I've been here, most of them have moved on now but I'm keeping in touch with a few so may see them further up the road. Two months seems a long time to have been here. It hasn't felt like that at all though. The theory that time travels faster when you're having fun has been so very true. From the start on the Sydney Explorer, the Lord Of The Rings Exhibition, the nights out, the strip clubs, living in Bronte for a couple of days, the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, seeing Manly in the rain at night, the myriad of photos I took at Bondi, the art gallery, having to get up at 4.30am to watch the football, O'Malleys, WorldBar, Empire, Three Wise Monkeys, Scruffy Murpheys, all the other bars I've been in, meeting a lot of the locals, all the photos I've taken, to the end in two days. I'll be leaving as I arrived, on a Greyhound! Comment on this article
