Friday. Intentions for today:

  • Get up early
  • Internet, email and other general stuff that's usually done in front of computer
  • Sort out bus ticket to Newcastle
  • Find somewhere to stay in Newcastle
  • Post extra baggage home so I don't have to carry it around
  • More internet
  • Eat

Friday, what really happened:

  • Got up late
  • Felt terrible (bad throat, constant salivation and the world kept spinning around)
  • Did nothing for the rest of the morning
  • Went to see Revenge Of The Sith again
  • Bought Revenge Of The Sith soundtrack CD
  • Eat
  • Internet (and here we are!)

Not a great day but then after the way I felt this morning not a lot was going to happen today. I hate feeling ill when I've got things to do. Always puts me off and subsequently nothing gets done. Now I'll have it all to do tomorrow instead. This morning I was starting to think I'd gone and got tonsilitis. Having had it once before (10 years ago) I was having the same issues - can't swallow, constant salivation. The throat has eased off during the day, thanks to a ton of OJ but the saliva just keeps on coming every now and again.

Maybe, with a bit of luck, I'll get a good night's sleep tonight. It didn't happen last night. The downside to hostel life reared it's ugly head again as the cacophony of snoring started. Having the odd bit of snoring now and again I can live with but there were 3 (half the room!) at it last night. All them unique and at times funny. At least it would be funny if I wasn't trying to sleep.

I got some recordings done which will have to appear here at some point.

Just to make up for it all, and given the state of my throat this morning, I did a spot of snoring myself. It wasn't intentional but everyone was quick to tell me about it! The cheek of some people.

Revenge Of The Sith was also fantastically good again.
