Tonight's the big night. Finally. The SMH has picked up more on the RotS/W comparisons. The theory now is that the USA is going the same way as the Republic does, ie turning into an Empire with one sole dictator.

Apparently the George St cinema is getting the red carpet out tonight. Should be interesting. I'll be down there and should take the camera. The lines at US cinemas are notorious for turning into fancy dress nights and I'm intrigued to know if Aussies are going to be doing the same.

Had a good afternoon yesterday, having done some work in the morning I was in Redfern for the afternoon and evening. Went down there to look at a place Viv is going to be renting. Nice place too, big front room, decent enough kitchen and a pair of great rooms upstairs.

Not knowing the area we both got a little lost along the way which caused minor havoc when Viv's friend Andy (creator of Vividas and Snoopcards) came down. We somehow managed to all find each other and had a magical mystery tour trying to find a bar which wasn't very far away where we met up with more friends, including one very intelligent and beautiful woman who I'd like to get to know more.  

The evening passed watching the hilarious Team America: World Police which has appeared at the DVD rental shop a couple of days early, which was nice. The movie is so wonderfully fucked up in many ways, beautifully sending up the US's current foreign policy (If it ain't a democracy then invade) and includes the wonderful dicks, pussies and assholes lines.

The weather here is starting to take a turn for the worse. There's a lot more rain around and the temperature is now dropping. I keep thinking of heading north but there are all sorts going on in Sydney that I want to be around for.
