Talking don't come easy when words get in the way

The last two days have been somewhat alcohol induced again. Perhaps not the best idea but it's been fun. I've also been listening to a lot of Def Leppard again recently.

Last night was a long one, a fun one and a good one. Drinking at the hostel till 10pm has become a habit. After 10 it's a case of go out or go to bed. The former being the option of preference. Downtown Sydney was the destination. We waited for around half an hour for a train which is never a good thing so entertainment was provided via the ups and downs of people walking, climbing and sliding up and down the escalators.

Town Hall station, and others no doubt, have now been fully decked out with RotS posters. What seems to be a full set, all over the place. They're everywhere. It's a beautiful site (as was the cleavage on sight last night).

Three Wise Monkeys was the first port of call and the switch from VB to JB'n'C, followed later by Scruffy Murphey's, which was a hell of a lot more enjoyable than last time, although still as busy. Taxis back to the Cross and annoying the sleepers in the hostel for a while ensued sometime around the wee small hours of the morning. More beer was needed so the group that had now become 6 found ourselves in Porky's. Not the best place to drink considering the strip clubs don't have licenses! The night ended in the Vegas Hotel where I successfully made some money having bought a pair of JB'n'C's for $10, paying with a $20 and getting $40 in change.

Finally made it to bed around 6am after watching 10 mins of ESB, 20 mins of Ocean's 12. Spent the next hour listening to Def Leppard very loudly before falling asleep for 3 hours.

Despite the lack of sleep I've been feeling good today.

HHGTTG turned out to be excellent, having kept to Douglas Adams' writings, words and a some good little additions.

Now reading the Motley Crue book The Dirt. Something I've been meaning to read for a while but the book was always slightly overpriced for my liking. I've now managed to get my hands on it in Sydney for a sensible price!

Spoke to Matt and Melissa earlier today, something else which has kept my mood on a very good level. Haven't spoken to either of them since leaving the USA last year (emails and texts have traversed the world though).

Speaking of RotS as I was earlier. I've now entered my "calm before the storm" phase. This basically entails not reading theforce.net, starwars.com or any other SW related website. The novel's been read, every piece of worthwhile info is now known about the movie. Now I do nothing. I don't listen, read, watch or concern myself with anything SW. That ends May 19th at 00:01.

Having brought last year's written journal with me the Aus I've been typing up some old entries which I'm going to add in here, working backwards from the start of this site's entries. That should take things back through last year to April 2004 and my first visit to Australia.
