Ended up drinking again last night. Wasn't planned but I met Viv at the cafe/bar on Orwell St. Spent most of the night talking, drinking and smoking far too much.

Quite a contrast from Saturday night. That had started with a minor banquet, beer and birthday cake. Once 10pm came around a small army of us headed off into the city, the long way round along Darlinghurst Rd and Oxford St. Fortunately stopping off along the way for toilet/beer stops, the first being in a gay bar.

The night ended up in Scruffy Murphy's, which was PACKED! It was stupidly busy to the point where you couldn't move, drink without being knocked or get to the bar easily. Several people came away with cigarette burns and beer stained clothing.

The plan had been to go somewhere else entirely. The only reason we took such a long way to get into the city was due to no one really knowing where we were going or where it was.

I gave up on the night sometime around 1.30am. I couldn't stand SM's. Too busy. Got a taxi back to the Cross, went to watch the back end of the Liverpool-Spurs match and, after finding some food, headed off to bed.

Today's weather looks like being a scorcher so I'll go out and about this afternoon. Don't know where yet though. I keep meaning to go up Sydney Tower but never get around to it.
