An interesting last couple of days. With the whole Easter thing going on around me Sydney's been a little on the different side. Sunday, a normally quiet and pre-Monday peaceful night turned into a night of alcohol fuelled debauchary, most of which was consumed in the World Bar, helped by a promise of free entry before midnight (I think also my first time on a guest list!) and a few 2-for-1 drinks vouchers.

The World Bar works on so many levels - literally. Pub, bar, dancing, pool. A little of each and by 3am and too many Jim n Cokes later I was out of money and out of smoking matter.. Left to go and get both, eat something and somehow ended up not going back. Should also be noted that I was on the dance floor. Me! On a dance floor! Whatever next?

Monday I decided that the DLBG needed an overhaul of mammoth proportions so started work on that for a while before going out to Central Backpackers for a free barbi. Free food always goes down well.

The best of the rest of the night was spent in the Fitzroy Hotel down on Dowling St. Although it's a regular haunt for many backpackers I'd yet to go. Turned out to be a pretty good place. The upstairs area being brilliantly decorated. I'd also spent most of the evening in the company of a poet/writer/philosopher/decent bloke. Having lost his ATM card Thursday evening he'd been skint the whole of Easter weekend - possibly the worst time such events can occur.

Today has been a slow one as a result. I never sleep well with an high alcohol blood level and doing it two nights running has left me a little on the wrong side of worse-for-wear.
