Saturday comes around again. Friday night was interestingly quiet. Due to the Easterness of the day everywhere was closing up at 10pm. The strip clubs did a roaring trade though as they stay open regardless. The World Cup qualifiers have come along again. England face the mighty Northern Ireland. Well, I say mighty but what will happen is NI will defend, England will struggle for a while looking rather ineptly for a way to break them down until, maybe after an hour or so, they will score. What should happen, given the relative strengths of the teams is a whitewash, if England played at a level befitting the status and ability of the players. However, since NI are a small country of little talent English players will assume they'll win and, as often happens, won't try very hard. The question remains though - can I stay up till 2am to watch it? Do I want to watch it? Kick off at 2am, or 1am depending on how you look at it since the clocks also go back an hour to end the Aussie daylight saving. Comment on this article
