Had a fun day yesterday. After the usual morning's internet experience I headed off to Darling Harbour for the day. I'd intended to go up Sydney Tower but somehow couldn't find it and ended up in Darling Harbour. No worries though.

Figured since it was now out I'd go see Robots at the iMax there. Before that though had a pleasent meander round some of the shops, cafes and other visual attractions the area has to offer. Had coffee at Starbucks, just to add another one to the list!

The movie itself was impressive, funny, full of Star Wars and other movie references (as seems to be the norm these days with animated movies) and extremely impressive on a gigantic screen.

The intention for the evening was to watch the opening AFL game between Brissie and St Kilda. Could I find a place to watch it??? Could I??? NO!! That kind of pissed me off a bit so after retiring to the Empire bar for a pint I got talking to a lovely woman from Finland.

A pint in Empire and 2 more pints and 2 Jim & Cokes in The World Bar, plenty of good conversation and the evening turned from an annoyance to something very good indeed.
