It all started as a good morning. Up at 6, out the door at 7, arrived at the All Star in Crown at 8. Super -er Monday! Eagles v Patriots.

Had a big English breakfast and coffee while the whole pre-game show was going on and ended up sharing a table with some Americans, one of which is a long standing Philly supporter.

The game itself was a big defense battle for the first half. Eagles went 7-0 before the Pats levelled it. Half time 7-7.

Had to enjoy Sir Paul's half-time show. No wardrobe malfunctions this year!

Pats came out fighting in the second half and were soon 14-7 up. Not good. The Eagles levelled it and a whole bunch of high-fives went round our table. Most of the bar seemed to be routing for the Eagles.

Sadly though, the Pats took a 10 point lead which Philly brought back to 3 and couldn't get any further. Another 3 point win for the Patriots!

Bus to Adelaide tonight. Should have sobered up by then.
