Same old, same old. Yet again England manage to stuff up. Throwing away a 2 goal lead. And then what? All the armchair managers have their say. So very, very funny. Sack the manager! Drop Beckham! Drop James! Can't sack the manager, his contract pay-off would cost a fortune so the FA won't do it. Sven's too much into Beckham to drop him, he's the captain! Sort of makes him first name on the team sheet, and anyway, Sven's said before he never would drop him. Too much in love with him!! Drop James! Then what?? Who replaces him? Robinson? An average keeper playing in a mid-table team? Where's the difference with James? The only hope for England goalkeepers is a long term injury to Jerzy Dudek giving Kirkland the chance to play. So, where do we go from here? There'll be no change in Poland on Wednesday. Players may perform better. England might win and the press and armchair fans will soon change their minds. The theory that you're only as good as your last game exists only in their minds and those of the tabloid press. Win and it's all good, lose and it's time for heads to roll. Knee jerk reactions.
