It's over. I raced around this morning, heading off to get my tooth fixed after it broke on Thursday. Then excitedly to the station to see Claire, my Goddess.

Claire came across to York this morning. After gushing from the slip and flowers and telling me all about Egypt.

She suggested we go for coffee in the cafe up the stairs in York station. Coffee is something we always do in stations so I didn't think anything of it. Then it came. She asked me if I knew it was coming and proceeded to finish things with me.

Ugly Kid Joe's "I Hate Everything About You" ironically played in the background.

I've felt numb ever since. I wanted her to stay with me but she went back to Leeds soon after.

I knew this day was coming but I wish it hadn't.

She's the only woman I've ever really truly loved. The only woman I've ever even wanted to be with.

We were "Engaged to be engaged" once.

Where did it all go?

I can't love anyone the way I love Claire.

We talked on the phone earlier.
